Who Am I?
I’m Shawn Buzzini, a Californian with a bit too much time and just enough projects. That doesn’t mean I’m not looking for the next big gig though. I’m a jack of all trades that’s only a click away.
What Have I Done?
My original studies landed me in the field of radio broadcast and sound design, but I have since then branched off. My main focuses are in public research, marketing, and media. I heavily believe in lifelong learning though, and always am open to learn for new projects.
After my collegiate studies, I started freelancing with a focus on audio, but have since been working on helping small companies find their place online and improving their presence. I’m a former Upwork freelancer, but now take projects from anyone needing my services.
What Am I Doing Now?
I am back from a hiatus after some international projects, and am now looking to do more work for North American companies, focusing mainly in Southern California where I can do business more face to face. By no means though does that mean I’m turning down any opportunities outside of California or the United States though.
Companies / Groups I’ve Been Involved With?
Perler-Bit: What started as a small literally in-house project of making nerd-culture inspired necklaces, it has expanded to online orders and many conventions and gaming tournaments across the US. It’s still a small business, but definitely busier than when it started.
Your Pharmacy (Beaumont, CA): This company gave me my first contract non-freelancing gig, and although it wasn’t much or for long they were great to work with. They truly gave me a jumping point to start my journey.
Museum of Pinball: I’ve had the pleasure of volunteering with this great place for most of the major events here, including an event alongside Twin Galaxies. Most of my contributions are behind the scenes, but someone has to be part of the crew that makes sure all the electronics work and are in the right spots before the events start.
Wayland Productions: After being a long time fan, I was able to help with quality control for two seasons of the main series of “We’re Alive” before they went on sale. I thought that even after freelancing and college that I knew all I’d need to know, but the team here really showed me just how much goes into a great final product.
What’s Next?
Usually I go wherever the winds take me. That said though, if you’d rather make use of my services, I’m more than willing to adjust my sails to you. You can email me at jobs@shawnbuzzini.com if you’re interested in working together.
